Mission:

It is our mission to provide timely, accurate advising services to the students in the college of arts and humanities and the larger UCF community. CAHSA will work with students, departments and other university offices to optimize educational opportunities and provide guidance with respect to university and college policies. It is our goal to provide an open, welcoming environment and see our students from orientation through graduation.

Joint Responsibilities:

Student

  • Know and understand your degree audit and program degree requirements
  • Pursue advising on policies and/or procedures
  • Take responsibility over degree completion
  • Regularly attend major/minor department advising and CAHSA advising

Advisor

  • Know program, degree and university requirements
  • Provide in depth guidance on university and college policies and procedures
  • Be available to students for advising
  • Help students realize the required steps for degree completion
  • Recognize and respond to individual student needs
