Transferring from an fcs institution

Students transferring with an Associate of Arts (AA) degree from a Florida College System (FCS) institution will satisfy all General Education Program, Gordon Rule, and State Core requirements at UCF. An AA degree does not satisfy the foreign language proficiency requirement for graduation unless college-level foreign language was completed as part of the AA degree.

Transferring from an out-of-state or private institution

Transferring to UCF with an AA degree from an out-of-state or private institution will not automatically satisfy all General Education Program, Gordon Rule, or State Core requirements. Courses will be evaluated individually to meet University requirements.

Students may need to have transfer credits reviewed for equivalency. Once all transcripts have been posted to your record, please review your degree audit to see what courses should be reviewed. Courses needed for General Education Program requirements should be reviewed through the Transfer Credit Evaluation Request through Academic Services. Courses needed for specific program requirements within the major, minor, and/or certificate will be evaluated by department advisors.
